Independence, Capability and Experience​

 

NewSky staff are amongst the most experienced in the industry, having first contributed to Floating Lidar System (FLS) technology evaluation in 2010.

The characterisation of new FLS models, and the verification of an FLS unit’s performance, must be undertaken by an independent provider and carried out in line with established international practice and standards.

​

NewSky’s expert staff have helped develop the performance evaluation criteria and uncertainty assessment methodologies that are embodied in international standards today. That work includes major contributions to the OWA Roadmap and to floating lidar best practice.

Our staff have industry leading experience of Roadmap maturity stage assessment having carried out FLS model qualification ('classification') for three major FLS vendors, as well as a large number of successful FLS unit verifications ('calibration').
